Yuan Qi Acupuncture Center is a Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic in Business Bay, Dubai, led by a DHA and MOH licensed doctor. We treat ongoing pain, stress, poor sleep, and fertility and hormonal concerns using acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping and professional physiotherapy. The clinic holds a 4.9 rating on Google, most of it from patients who arrived unsure whether any of this would work and stayed once it did.
If you have been looking for an acupuncture clinic in Dubai and are not sure where to start, this page walks you through what we do, who treats you, and the conditions we see most often. Everything here is complementary care that works alongside conventional medicine, not a replacement for your doctor.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is a complete system of healthcare, developed in China over thousands of years, that treats the body as one connected whole rather than a set of separate parts. It works on a simple idea: good health depends on balance and the steady flow of energy, known as Qi, and blood through the body. When that flow is blocked or weak, symptoms appear, and the aim of treatment is to restore it so the body can heal itself.
In practice that means several therapies that we often combine: acupuncture, cupping and Hijama, moxibustion, Gua Sha, Tui Na massage and Chinese herbal medicine. More people in the city are turning to these as drug-free ways to manage pain and stress, and our job is to apply them properly, with a real assessment behind every treatment.
Every patient is different, so we rarely use one therapy in isolation. After an assessment we build a plan from the treatments below, and we explain what each one is for before we begin.
Fine, sterile needles placed at specific points to ease pain, calm the nervous system and improve circulation. This is the foundation of most of what we do.

Learn more →Suction cups that draw blood to the surface to release muscle tension and support recovery. We offer both dry cupping and wet cupping, known as Hijama, in a clean clinical setting.
Learn more →Tui Na is Chinese medical massage that works on the muscles and energy channels to relieve tension and restore movement.

Led by our physiotherapist Dr. SuryaLakshmi, our physiotherapy combines manual therapy, exercise and clinical dry needling to restore movement after injury, surgery or chronic strain. It pairs especially well with acupuncture for faster recovery.

Moxibustion uses gentle, penetrating heat from burning mugwort to warm the body's channels and ease cold, stubborn pain. Gua Sha uses smooth-edged tools to lightly scrape the skin, releasing tightness and improving circulation.

Holistic fertility acupuncture to support relaxation, balance and overall reproductive wellness.

Targeted therapy to ease muscle strain, aid recovery and keep you moving at your best.

Back and neck pain, frozen shoulder, sciatica, arthritis and sports injuries. Acupuncture and physiotherapy together are often more effective than either on its own.
View treatments →Anxiety, low mood and insomnia respond well to treatment that calms the nervous system rather than sedating it. Better sleep is usually the first thing patients notice.
View treatments →Fertility support is one of our most requested treatments. We help with menstrual problems, PCOS, hormonal imbalance, menopause and fertility, including patients going through IVF who want to complement their treatment naturally.

The clinic is led by Dr. Jun Huang, a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine who holds a bachelor's and master's degree in acupuncture from Guangxi Traditional Chinese Medical University and has practised in the UAE since 2013. He is licensed by both the Dubai Health Authority and the Ministry of Health.

Working alongside him, our physiotherapist Dr. SuryaLakshmi is certified in clinical dry needling and rehabilitation. Between them they cover both the Eastern and the clinical side of recovery, which is why acupuncture and physiotherapy work so well together here.
Read profileThe honest difference is that this is a clinical practice run by a licensed doctor, not a spa offering a quick fix. There are many places to get a massage in Dubai, and far fewer where acupuncture is delivered by a practitioner with formal medical training and a DHA licence. We start every course of treatment with a proper assessment, we keep the clinic clean and calm with private treatment rooms, and we tell you honestly when acupuncture is the right fit and when it is not.
Patients travel to us from Downtown, Al Wasl, Jumeirah, Deira and across the city, many of them busy professionals who simply want to feel like themselves again. A lot of them start with one problem and stay for general upkeep once they feel the difference. Your first consultation is included when you book a course of treatment, so the first step is straightforward.

We blend traditional understanding with a modern, patient-centred approach built around your individual balance.
As long as acupuncture and associated therapies are covered under your plan, we're happy to help. Coverage varies by provider, so we recommend verifying your benefits before your visit.
Our team prepares official receipts, treatment summaries and medical reports to make reimbursement simple.
