Your body already has its own remarkable systems for clearing waste and defending itself, led by the liver, kidneys, digestion and immune system. When you are run down, stressed, sleeping badly or eating poorly, those systems can feel as though they are working harder than usual, leaving you tired, sluggish and more prone to picking up every bug going around. At Yuan Qi Acupuncture Center in Business Bay, we use acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to support your body's own natural processes, helping with energy, circulation and immunity.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this is understood through the Liver and Kidney systems, seen as the body's main filtering and balancing networks, and through the smooth flow of Qi and blood. The aim of treatment is not to force anything, but to support these systems so the body can do what it naturally does, more comfortably. Rather than harsh cleanses, acupuncture offers a gentle way to support your overall balance and wellbeing.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, supporting detox means helping the body's own filtering and balancing systems work comfortably, rather than flushing anything out with harsh methods. The body removes waste naturally through the liver, kidneys, digestion and lymphatic system. A TCM approach aims to support those systems and good circulation, so that you feel more energetic and balanced. It is gentle, supportive care, and we are always honest that it works alongside, not instead of, a healthy lifestyle.
Much of how rundown we feel comes from stress, poor sleep, a heavy diet and too little movement. Because acupuncture is calming and supports circulation and rest, it can help with how you feel during these periods. As energy and sleep improve, many people feel lighter and more themselves, which is the kind of everyday benefit we focus on rather than any dramatic claim.

For detox and immune support we often complement acupuncture with gentle supporting therapies, guided by the assessment:
These therapies work well together to support circulation, ease physical tension and help you feel more rested and balanced. We keep the approach gentle and realistic, focused on supporting your wellbeing rather than promising a dramatic cleanse or reset.

As supportive care for your body's natural systems, acupuncture may help with these.
Circulation and the body's natural waste-clearing systems.
Stress and poor sleep that leave you depleted.
Overall sense of balance and wellbeing.
Your first visit begins with a consultation. We ask about your energy, sleep, digestion, stress and general health, and what has left you feeling rundown. In keeping with Chinese medicine we usually check your tongue and pulse too. We then plan gentle, supportive treatment suited to you, and keep our advice practical and honest about what it can help with.
The needles are very fine, far thinner than the needles used for injections, and most people feel little more than a small pinch. The session is generally very relaxing, and you rest with the needles in place for around twenty to thirty minutes. Afterwards we explain what we found and suggest a realistic schedule, since this kind of support tends to build gently over a course of sessions.

Acupuncture is used to support your body's own natural detox systems, such as the liver, kidneys, digestion and circulation, rather than flushing toxins out. The aim is to help these systems work comfortably and to support energy and wellbeing, as gentle, supportive care.
We do not claim that acupuncture removes toxins. Your body clears waste naturally through its own organs and systems. What acupuncture aims to do is support those systems and good circulation, helping you feel more energetic and balanced.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, supporting detox means helping the body's filtering and balancing systems, particularly the Liver and Kidney networks, work smoothly, along with good circulation of Qi and blood. It is about support, not a harsh cleanse.
Acupuncture is used to support general immunity and resilience, especially when you are run down from stress, poor sleep or a heavy lifestyle. We frame this as supporting your immune health rather than guaranteeing you will not get ill.
